Maddy's First Baseball Game

Today was special for 2 reasons: it was my 7 week birthday, and it was my first time to go to a baseball game. Whoo-hooo! Here I am with my mom right when we got to the Grand Prairie Air Hogs game.
And then I guess the excitement was just too much...

You have to cut me some slack. I can only see about 18 inches from my face, so I would've missed the whole game anyway. Well... at least it looks like my dad was having a great time!
These pictures below have nothing to do with the baseball game. My mom propped me up on the couch the day before and took some pictures. She thought they were cute, so I put them on here.

Visit to Memaw's

Last week, me and my mom went to visit Memaw and Granddaddy. They are my mom's mom's parents. Whew... that's a mouthful! I was so happy when I got there, because my cousin Lawson was there, and we got to play.

Well, I heard this funny joke that my dad tells ALL THE TIME, and I think it's really funny. Here's a picture of me telling it to Lawson. "So... what did the boy melon say to the girl melon when she wanted to run away and get married?"

"We're too young, we can't elope. Get it... canteloupe??? Wha ha ha ha ha!"

And here's a picture of his reaction. I guess he didn't think it was very funny. I'm so shocked. That joke is a big hit at my house.
If you look closely, you can even see Lawson's mom, Ashleigh, having to hold him back. Thanks Ash!
And here are some pictures of me getting him back for not thinking my dad's joke is very funny. My dad is hilarious... and don't you forget it pal!

Just kidding. Most of the time that I was playing with Lawson, we were just laying on the floor holding hands...

And having a great time!

I especially love going to Memaw's, because at the end of the day, I know I have a good place to take a nap. Ahhhh...that's better.

Welcome Home Uncle Neil!

Today was a very special day for me, because I got to meet my Uncle Neil. He was working in L.A. this summer (because he's going to be a famous actor one day), so he couldn't be here when I was born. This picture was taken just a few minutes after we met each other. Neil picked me up right out of my car seat and held me for a long time. I really LOVE him.

I know it doesn't really look like it in the picture below, but I was really excited to meet him. I think I was just sleepy.
My mom made me a really cute outfit to wear the first time I met Neil. I know you can't read it very well, but it says, "I Love Uncle Neil." Here are three reasons why I love this outfit: 1) My shirt has shiny, red sequins on it. Gorgeous! 2) My mom let me wear this fun, black tutu that Grandma Sherri made. 3) This is the best part...I'm not really wearing shoes. These are just socks that look like shoes. Can you believe it??? How cool!
My mom really likes the picture above because I'm posing like a perfect little ballerina in my new tutu.

Every time he holds me, I wrap my arms around him like I'm giving him a big hug. I love my Uncle Nee Nee!
Now you know I couldn't go see Uncle Neil and Aunt Chelsea and not have an outfit for both of them, right? My mom made this onesie that says, "I love Aunt C Doggy." (That's her nickname.) Don't I look cute in pink?

Maddy's First Play Date

Today was my first play date. This is a picture of me and my mom with her friend Michelle and baby Luke. Luke was born a couple of weeks after me (which makes me way older), but we're pretty much the same size.
Here's a picture of me and Luke "playing" at our first play date. I think this relationship is really going to work out, because he likes to do the same things I do: eat, sleep, and poop.
I also think Luke is really cute, because when he sleeps, he looks like a very professional businessman. He he he.

My Sleep Poses

Here are some pictures of me sleeping. My mom wanted me to share them with everyone, because she says I always look like I'm in deep thought. Hmmmm...

And then sometimes it looks like I'm running...

I Love Bath Time

I just want to let everyone know how much I love taking a bath. It's one of the funnest things I get to do as a baby. I know I look like a little pilgram woman in this picture, but it's just a wash cloth. After my mom puts me in my baby spa, she lays warm wash cloths on my belly and on my head so that I don't get cold. It might look silly, but I LOVE it.

I put this picture on here, because I think I look really cool.
Anytime my mom wants to see me smile a whole lot, she just fills my tub up with water and sticks me in it. I can't get enough of this thing.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAA! I guess I wasn't ready for this one.

Trip to Mom's Work

Today was my first trip to my mom's work. I knew it was going to be a pretty special day today, because mom let me soak for a really long time in the bath tub last night so that I could smell extra baby-like today. Then, when we woke up this morning, she put real clothes on me (instead of the ones I hang around the house in), and she put this weird thing on my head. I guess I'm supposed to wear one of these on special occasions, because it makes all the ladies go bonkers.

Here's the full view of the cute outfit I wore today. If you can't see it very well, it's a very cute and summery, lacy, white shirt that my mom expertly paired with some pink capri pants with ruffles at the bottom. This outfit was a big hit at work. Hey, did anybody notice that I'm sitting up on the couch by myself??? Well, I'm actually propped up, but I'm still doing a lot of work trying not to wiggle.
I guess I have some work to do on that.
This is one of my mom's good friends at work. Her name is Athena, but my mom calls her "Theener" or "Theena Weena Beena." I recognized her when we got there, because she always used to talk to me when I was in my mom's belly. She's one of those people that has the magic touch that makes me go right to sleep. Sorry for all of the bottom burps "Theener."
Here I am with some of my mom's loud and crazy coworkers. It's fun to get to meet the people who caused such a ruckus the first 9 months of my life. I know it looks like I'm sleeping here, but really I'm just exhausted from all the partying.
This is me with James, one of my mom's friends at work. He told my mom that he wanted to hold me because maybe some of his color would rub off on my "transparent skin." You can see how shocked I was that he said such a thing, but I know it's true. He's really funny.

First Time at Church

Today was a really exciting day for me, because it was my first time to go to church. I knew it was pretty important for me to be good, because my parents made us sit in the very back of the church, right by the door. Every time I made the tiniest little peep, Mom or Dad shoved a pacifier or a bottle in my mouth so fast. I got the hint pretty quickly, and I was good the whole time. I know I don't look like I had much fun in this picture, but it was actually pretty cool. I think I'd like to go back again, especially if all of the little old ladies tell me how cute I am again. Here I am after church, laying on the floor at my house. I know it looks like I'm wearing lip gloss like my mom in this picture, but she won't let me wear any yet. I just have naturally shiny lips.

Here's a picture of me and my dad. I'm getting upset with him because he's trying to lay down my mohawk. Doesn't he know that's my trademark look? Leave it alone, Dad.

After a long, hard day, all I wanted to do was take a nap on Grandpa John. My mom and Grandma Gerri loved my crooked face in this picture.

Maddy's One Month Photo Shoot

Today was my very first photo shoot. Everybody kept telling me how good I was being all day long, but I couldn't help but notice that my mom was just a little frustrated that I soaked my first outfit in throw up and that my mohawk wouldn't lay down. Overall, I think my pictures turned out pretty cute. (This one above is my mom and dad's favorite picture.)

In this picture, I'm pretending to gaze out into the clouds. Really... I'm just trying to figure out why this strange woman keeps jingling bells at me.

Ummmm... when can I have some more milk? I'm getting a little parched.

Here's another one of me in the clouds. Do you see this microscopic bow on my head? It's the only one that stays on my head. The lady at the store said that it could even clip on to peach fuzz, so my mom bought it. One day maybe I'll wear bigger bows (not as big as my cousin Ava's), but while my head is between the 25th and 50th percentile in size, I'll stick with the smaller ones.

Grandma Sherri and Memaw made my mom buy this picture, because they said my yawn is soooo cute. They said it's like I'm sleeping in the clouds.

I really like this one, because if you look closely, my mohawk is sticking straight up and down. He he he. My mom likes this one, because my toes are spread out, and she says that's what I do when I'm eating.
I know I look so serious in all of my pictures, but I haven't really gotten the whole smiling thing down yet. One day I'll be smiling all of the time when I can understand my dad's hilarious jokes.

Here's the last one. Hope you enjoyed my very first photo shoot. Lessons learned: 1) Don't change me into my outfit until we get there (lots of things can happen on the way). 2) Bring a bigger blanket (that place is REALLY cold). 3) Don't just expect my hair to lay down after time (my mohawk has super human strength).
