My Halloween Costume

I'm a little confused. I've been hearing so much about this "Halloween" day that's coming up. Apparently, kids dress up in really fun outfits and go door-to-door to get candy. It seems like a pretty fair trade off to me (especially if we're getting candy...FOR FREE)!

So can anyone tell me why I have to dress up in this silly outfit, but I don't get to have any candy? What a rip off! And when I say silly... I mean ridiculous.

Can you guess what I'm going to be by looking at this little teaser...
For those of you who guessed penguin... ding ding ding... you win the prize! And the prize is... you don't have to be seen by everyone in town in a plush penguin costume. Congratulations!
On a lighter note, I just grew into my first pair of "big girl pants." Look how cute I am... and isn't this a happier face?
Wouldn't it just be easier if I went trick-or-treating in this outfit??? I mean, in my defense, the penguin outfit doesn't even have pants. How humiliating.

Hello Again!

I have to apologize to all of my fans out there, because it's been a while since the last time I posted a new entry on my blog. In my defense, my mom went back to work and she hasn't had a lot of time to type my words as I dictate them to her.

Here's a picture of me and my mom on her first day back to work.
Now I stay at Grandma Gerri and Grandpa John's during the day. I love being over there, because they let me do things that my mom won't let me do... like have candy at 2 months old. Yes... this is a Twizzler. (I'm not even old enough to open the wrapper. Grandpa John gave this to me, so take it up with him.)I have so much fun all day long with my Grandma Gerri. I don't even care that she sometimes tries to stick my head through the tiny arm hole in my dress... because I just love her so much.Another new development in the last couple of weeks is... I found my fists! I know I look really dangerous with these tight fists and big arms, but I don't mean any harm.
I just like to suck on them, and then make weird faces because my hand doesn't taste as good as I thought it would...

And besides, who could be tough with a face like this???

My Cousins

The last couple of days I've gotten to hang out with my cousins, Lawson and Ava. I get to see Lawson a lot (because he lives in Arlington), but it has been extra special this week because my cousin Ava is in town from Austin.

I really love hanging out and playing with them, but when I was looking at my pictures, I noticed a very disturbing trend...

They ALWAYS pick on me. Now, I know you are thinking that they are just tiny babies, and there's no way they are old enough to know how to pick on me yet... but I have the evidence to prove it.

They bite me...
And stick their fingers in my mouth...And pick my nose... And worst of all, they make fun of my hair!!! Not cool!

Well, I heard somewhere that imitation is the highest form of flattery.
At least mine doesn't look like this...
Wha ha ha ha!

Labor Day Bash

I've been in the real world for over 7 weeks now, and my grandparents have never left town... until now! So I threw a big bash at their house for Labor Day, and all of my friends came. My mom was having too much fun to take pictures, but here is the aftermath. Draw your own conclusions...

And here is the biggest culprit. Don't let his innocent face fool you.

Maddy's Swing... and a New Milestone

So... my parents were moping around the house for weeks on end, because they spent a pretty penny on this fancy new swing, and every time they would put me in it I would cry and cry and cry.

Why didn't anyone tell me I look like a cute little teddy bear when I swing in it? That's all you had to do Mom and Dad. Now I love it!I even have a big, round, teddy bear belly. (That's not part of the swing. He he he.)
Everyone keeps saying something to me about my cheeks and hiding nuts in them, and then they always laugh. I have no idea what that means... but people sure do get a chuckle out of it.
So when my mom's not holding me, and I'm not swinging, I'm usually practicing laying on my tummy (it's called "tummy time"). I've always hated tummy time, because it's so hard, and no matter how much I grunt, people keep talking to me in really high pitched voices and trying to get me to lift my head off the ground...

And I finally did it! WHO-HOOOOOO! I love tummy time!
