Christmas photo shoot

I hope everyone had a happy and safe Christmas this year. It was my first one, and I have to say... Boxes and wrapping paper are waaaaay cooler than anything you could put inside the box.

Here are my 5 month pictures. I know they are a little late, but me and my mom have been super busy. Enjoy! P.s. Stick around for the last one. It's pretty funny.

uhhhh... can I get some help over here? Grandma? Aunt Becky? Picture lady? Anybody?

Christmas

I just had my very first Christmas, and man... it was FUN! I got to see snow for the first time, open presents for the first time, and I even had my first airplane ride on Christmas night. Here's a picture of me and my mom sitting in the snow for the first time in East Dubuque, Illinois. It looks like I'm making the "bitter beer face," but I was just really chilly. Here's one of my favorites - a 4 generation picture. This is my Great Grandma Rosella, Grandma Gigi, Daddy, and me. Aren't we cute? We took this one at the lake house in Wisconsin.

Here's me and two of my favorite people in the world - crazy Uncle Nee Nee and fun Aunt C Doggy. My mom loves pictures of my legs. Sorry... she made me include this one.

Here's a picture of me with Cole, Morgan, and Callie (I'm the one in the middle). They played with me the whole time we were in Illinois. I love them soooo much!

Christmas was really fun, but man oh man was it exhausting. Here's me and my dad at the airport in Chicago. I think this picture says it all.

Maddy Eats Solid Food

For those of you who haven't seen me in a while, here's a picture of my girlish figure. Check out these gams!
Everyone assumes that I love food because of my rotund physique...but here's how I feel about rice cereal. Yuuuuuuuuuck!I hate, hate, hate rice cereal. When my mom or Grandma Gerri try to feed it to me, I purse my lips together so that nothing gets in. I think I'll stay M.O. for as long as possible. (FYI... M.O. = milk only).

4 Month Pictures

OK, if you are looking at this blog entry, and you're disappointed because you were hoping to find the really humiliating outtakes from my 4 month photo shoot, please see "Blooper Real (2nd Edition)."

For those of you who are not evil, feel free to take a look at the good ones below. My mom thinks these are the best ones yet. There were too many to choose from, so these are just a few.

Blooper Reel (2nd Edition)

My mom said that the last time she put the outtakes from my photo shoot on the blog, it was a big hit... So I'm swallowing my pride and letting you see some of the pictures that didn't quite make the cut.

Does this tutu make my chin look big?

I'm sorry - does it look like I'm comfortable in this tiny seat? I think not.

Is it incredible to anyone else that I'm holding this football with my freakishly small feet? Hey Mom, whatcha got in that breast milk? I think I might have had one drink too many.

Happy Turkey Day

Every Thursday, I go to my Aunt Becky's house while Grandma Gigi goes to help the church. I have so much fun over at her house. See... Look how happy I am (please disregard all the dimples on my legs... I'm a little insecure, but my mom tells me they are so cute). She has a dog named Molly that I'm good friends with. Here we are - Maddy and Molly - two peas in a pod.Aunt Becky even dresses us up sometimes so that we match. Notice Molly's pumpkin handkerchief (what a fun word to say)! By the way, if you could see my shirt, it says, "I'm so cute it's scary." Ain't that the truth.

OK, I know my mom and dad always brag about me, and talk about how gifted and advanced I am... but here's the proof. I'm even knowledgeable about other cultures...
How!Well, for those of you I won't see until after this Thursday, HAPPY THANKSGIVING. Ok, we've all had a good laugh. Now will someone please take this turkey hat off? Whaaaaaaa!

So Sorry Aunt Judy

Aunt Judy...
Please, please, please forgive my mom. It's devastating to me what she did to you, leaving you off of the blog and all. Look what it's done to me. I can't even contain myself. If you don't forgive her - I don't think I'll ever stop crying. My mom's kind of an airhead sometimes, but it's not really her fault, she was just made that way. But what if it rubs off on me... oh geez... whaaaaaaaaa!

If she ever does that to you again... I'll show her what for.

My First Halloween

For those of you looking at this picture and thinking that I had two Halloween costumes, you are mistaken. This is just another ridiculous outfit that they put me in to make me look like a little stuffed animal. It stinks for me because it comes equipped with footies and little bear mittens, so I can't even stare at my toes or put my whole fist in my mouth... two of my favorite things to do. RATS! Here's the real money maker.

Look! They don't even care that you can't see my face in this picture. They just carted me around all night as their little penguin accessory and showed me off to the whole neighborhood. I have to admit, I kind of liked the attention.
Couldn't they have at least taken off my webbed feet? Nope... I slept in the entire outfit - head gear and all. Despite the very silly costume, this did turn out to be a very special Halloween, because I got to meet my Great Grandma Rosella, two Great Aunts (Kay and Mary), one EXTRA EXTRA SPECIAL Great Aunt Judy (to whom my mom is forever indebted for so rudely leaving off this list the first time around), my dad's cousin Jenny, and her two daughters Maggie and Georgia. Here I am with my Great Grandma. Just in case you don't recognize me without my costume, I'm the tiny one with the chubby legs and the sweet jean jacket.

Blooper Reel

I had my three month photo shoot today, and I decided that this time around I'd show you the photos that DIDN'T make the cut.

Give me a sec while I swallow my pride (and my hand). Here goes...

Don't lie, you know you think I look like a turtle in this picture.
Hey, what do you know... no more triangle toe nails. When did those grow in???

Hey mom... Back off!

WHHHHHAAAAAAAAA! Being this cute is so hard!

Huh??? Did you say milk? If not, I'm not interested.

Does anybody besides my mom think that my mouth sometimes looks like Garth's from Wayne's World???

Hey lady... do you mind counting next time? You're catching me mid-blink. Not cool man.

Stay tuned for the real pictures...

Big Week

I had a pretty big week last week. I know it must be very hard for you to believe that in all of these smiley pictures you've seen on my blog, no sounds have actually been coming out of my mouth. Well... stop the press! I figured out how to make my voice work, and I laughed for the first time last week! Wha ha ha ha! You know what else I did? I rolled over for the first time! Wha ha ha (that's not really funny, but I'm getting the hang of this laughing thing... he he)

Wait a sec... I know I'm mid-roll, but is it too late to grab that binky?

I've actually only rolled over for my Grandma Gerri and Aunt Becky. The picture below is as far as I go for Mom and Dad. I like to tease them by leaning over really far so that they start talking really fast and saying "oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh." Then, I lay back down on my stomach and fake them out. I think I'll drag this on a little while longer. It's pretty fun.

My dad thinks it's cute when I start acting like I'm going to roll over, because I spread my toes out really far (like it's giving me extra power). He gets really tickled, so I'm not going to tell him that I'm just stretching.

Anyway, it's been a very eventful week at the Ames household with all the laughing and rolling over. I know I'm kind of a big deal right now... but please - no pictures.
