Having a brother is pretty cool so far. Most of the time he stays asleep, wrapped up in his little blankies, and doesn't bother me or play with my toys.
Sometimes I even catch him smiling in his sleep. Mommy and Daddy think he's going to be a very happy baby like me. Grandma Gerri says he has the "happy gene."

I thought so too...
Until he got his first bath... yikes!!! For those of you who are super close with my family, ask my Grandpa John to show you the first bath video. You're in for a special surprise. I'll give you a one-word hint... "projectile."

Here are some pictures of him at one week old. He looks totally different to me than he did when he was born.
This little guy has a lot to learn. Now everyone knows I love to eat... noodles, chocolate, all fruits and veggies, and I've never met a cake I didn't like.... anyway, I could go on and on. But a fist??? Come on brother.

Overall, he's an OK dude...
Except for those toes. Thought you might want a looksie at 'em. They got sort of mangled in the womb, but they should straighten out over time. He he he.

Maddy Turns 2
Guess what? I just turned two and my little brother didn't make his debut on my birthday and mess things up for me. Yay! It actually worked out pretty well. I think everyone was feeling really sorry for me that I might have to share my birthday with a stinky little boy so they got me tons of presents.
Here are some pictures of me spending time with my family on my birthday, and of course... a video of me singing "Happy Birthday" (which is in super high demand)!
Here's me digging through my gifts. My mom would like to draw your attention to my super cute birthday pony tail.
Of course I read the cards first... not a lot of 2-year-olds can say that.
Me and cousin Kylie. I love you, Kylie.
Here's me playing with my new favorite toy... my choo-choo train that Daddy got me (which Momma said I wouldn't like). In your face Momma.
When everyone starting singing "Happy Birthday" to me, it was really cool...
But then I got embarassed because of all the attention and started crying. Daddy said this is the first sign on me being bi-polar like Momma. I don't know what that means, but it doesn't sound nice.
The week before my birthday, Memaw and GDaddy came over, and all of my Harris cousins came into town. Can you believe Momma let me have cake two weekends in a row? Yay!
And here's the highly-anticipated birthday song. Enjoy!

Daddy & Maddy
Ever since my momma has been pregnant with my little brother, me and Daddy have gotten to spend a lot of time together while momma takes naps.
Wanna see what we do when we hang out together???

Maddy Counts to Ten
I know it seems like I've only been posting "bath time with Maddy" blog entries lately, but that's when me and my mom do some of our best singing and counting. It's so much fun!
Check out this video of me counting to ten in the bath tub. (Mommy says to tell everyone that she's sorry for her chubby pregnant feet in the background.)
Hope this makes you smile :)

Letters & Numbers
Guess what? I know I'm only 20 months old, but I'm already learning my letters and numbers! I don't want to brag (even though this is totally awesome and super advanced), so I'll just let you see it for yourself. Here's a little hint to let you know what it's about...

My Snow Day!!!
The last couple of days have been so much fun! Momma and Daddy both got to come home from work early on Thursday, and they didn't have to work at all on Friday... because we got almost A FOOT OF SNOW!!!! Whoo-hooooooo!
Here's me and Daddy in the back of his truck. He called this my "playpen of snow." How cool is that???
Here's me trying to start a snowball fight with one of the neighbor kids. "What's up man? You scared? You don't want any of this!"
Mikey came out to play for a little while too, but he had a hard time running through the snow.
We even got to make a snowman. "Howdy! Happy snow day y'all!"
He wasn't so cute the next day though :(
This picture really makes me and Momma laugh. Daddy called this his "snow chair." Wha ha ha ha!
At the end of the day, we came inside and got really warm, but my feet were still cold so I put on Daddy's shoes and scooted around the kitchen.

My new song
Recently, there's been a lot of talk about the "Pants on the Ground" song from the American Idol auditions. Unfortunately, it's only growing in popularity because I'm too young to audition with my smash hit song, "Icicle" (composed by Madelyn Ames).
It's becoming such a hit with my close friends and family, that they're forcing me to run around town icognito.
Now, nobody really knows if I'm saying "icicle," "eyes are closed," or "a circle," in this song, and I'll never tell! It adds to the mystery and intrigue.

Christmas Dance
Howdy long lost friends!
Me and my mom are trying to gather up all of our pictures from our Christmas vacation to the Midwest, but I thought I'd give you at least a little something to make you smile on a yucky Monday after a holiday.
This is me shakin' my tail feathers in my penguin pajamas on Christmas vacation. Enjoy!!!

Boo at the Zoo!
Howdy! I hope everyone had a great Halloween. I know I did. Now, before I show you some fun pictures of my trip to the zoo, let's take a moment and go back in time.
Last year I was just an infant, so my mom dressed me up in something cute and snugly just for show. Remember this gem of a costume??? Awwwwwwww....
This year, since I'm a toddler now (and a very big girl like my mommy tells me), I got to dress up as something ferocious. Ready for it....
A Killer Bee!!!! Don't I look super scary?
Mommy and daddy dressed me up in my killer bee costume and took me to a fun festival at the Fort Worth Zoo called "Boo at the Zoo." I was so excited to be there, can't you tell? Weeeeeeeeee!
The best part was that I got to bring friends. Aunt Ral Ral, Aunt Jazmin, Uncle Jamie, and my cousin Ava came with us. Here's a picture of Ava and her daddy. Ava went as a lady bug. (Mommy and Aunt Ral Ral think it's really fun and exciting to have themes for us each Halloween. This year it was bugs.)
Aunt Ashleigh and my cousin Lawson (L-Dog) came too. L-Dog went as a terrifying dinosaur.
Here's a pic of me and Ava where you can really see our costumes...
And here's a wing view...
And here's a close-up of scary cousin L-Dog...
As you can tell, we were a pretty frightening bunch!
The nice people at the zoo kept out the big animals for a little bit, so we got to see elephants and giraffes and gorillas. Awesome! You know what's even more awesome than these animals??? The fact that I have teeny tiny replicas of these animals as bath tub toys and I can point to the right ones when mommy asks me to. (Sorry for the shameless plug.)
We also got to play games. How awesome is this game???
1)Bend over 2)Pick a toy out of a kiddie pool with sand in it 3)Keep the toy. AWESOME!!!
We had so much fun... but remember, I still have an 8:30 bed time. When the clock struck 8, I started having a bit of a meltdown. Sorry Daddy! Time to go home.
At least I wasn't the only one...
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
