Ava's 3rd Birthday

A few weeks ago, my cousin Ava turned 3 and we went to Austin for her birthday. She had a cowgirl themed party at a super fun place called Kiddie Acres.

Kiddie Acres is pretty much the most awesome place to go, because all of the rides are for kids that are little like me.

When we first got there, we were standing at the gate and I couldn't wait to ride all of the teeny tiny rides. Neither could Ava. Check out her face... This was a foreshadowing of what was to come...

Here's a picture of us on the teeny tiny ferris wheel (right before Ava got kicked off for not minding the ferris wheel operator).

Here we are on the teeny tiny boat ride (right before Ava got in trouble by the ride operator for not keeping her hands in the boat)...

... and here we are in the teeny tiny boat ride (right after Ava got in trouble for the second time for splashing and not keeping her hands in the boat).

Here we are in a tiny plane...

...and driving tiny cars...

and on a tiny train ride with Mimi.

Here's Aunt Ral Ral and Ava on the tiny carousel ride.

The only thing that wasn't so tiny was the pony ride. Look at me riding a horse like a real big girl.

Here's me waving to my fans.

Cousin Lawson was there too. This is him waiting anxiously for his turn to ride the pony.

Ava rode the pony, too. (She didn't get kicked off of this one... YAY!)

Even though the rides at Kiddie Acres are tiny, Bubba's still too little to ride them. He had the best seat in the house, though... sittin' in the shade nuzzled up with Memaw.

Here's our rough and tough crew at the end of a fun birthday party. Happy Birthday Ava! I love you!

Halloween Pics

I've been a really busy girl lately. So busy, in fact, that I haven't had a spare minute to sit down and update my blog. Momma finally made me do it, because she said that she's tired of getting "nasty-grams" about me not posting Halloween pictures.

Bubba and I had theme costumes this year. I've been sort of obsessed with cowboy boots lately, so I went as a cowgirl, and Bubba went as... what else... a cow! Have you seen this guy lately???? (Well, I guess most of you haven't since you've been hounding my mom for pictures). Anyway... he's huge!

So.... here are the long-awaited, much anticipated Halloween pictures for 2010.

Oh... I'm sorry... you didn't think I was going to be a rough-n-tough cowgirl did you? My mom wouldn't even entertain that idea. Even though kiddie pageants totally freak my mom out, I went as a glitzy glammy cowgirl... complete with a rhinestone belt and a blue jean tutu.

There was no glitz and glam with Bubba's outfit. He was just... well... Bubba. He he he...

Here's Daddy's cousin Kim holding big ol' Bubba. Brace yourself Kimmie...

Here's me and my crew at "trunk or treat" at church. No, that's not a typo. There were literally trunks full of candy in the parking lot. Jealous???

Momma Goes Back to Work

Momma went back to work this week, and it makes me so sad. Even though I absolutely LOVE being over at Grandma and Pawpaw's house, me and Momma had some good times together and I'm going to miss her during the day...

Momma let me play in all of her jewelry...

and help with the chores...

and eat fun things like peanut butter and banana sandwiches...

and she even tried to potty train me. For some reason it didn't work and we can't figure out why.

Jack's First Smile

My little brother Jack has been smiling since the day he was born, but only in his sleep when he dreams about milk, and only for his grandmas when they talk to him in their goofy, high-pitched baby voices.

This week, he finally started smiling (on purpose) for mommy and daddy. Today, I even got to help make him smile by using my tickle fingers and saying "ticky ticky ticky."

Anyway, we're super excited about his little personality, and we wanted to share. Here are a few pictures from this week...

This one is Momma's favorite so far. He's supposed to be doing his "tummy time" to learn to hold his head up, but Momma says that his head is so big that he's not super productive right now. He's very content just laying on his belly and not trying to push up at all.

Owen & Ella's Birthday Adventure

This weekend we drove down to Bastrop, Texas, because my cousins, Owen and Ella, had their first birthday party. My Aunt Ral Ral (Lauren) decided to go with a prince/princess theme for the party, so guess what??? That means Owen and Ella got to be the prince and princess for the whole day.

Do you know what happens when you give one year olds the power to make decisions? Well, let me explain.

Prince Owen sat on his thrown and thought about how he wanted to celebrate the day. He thought... and he thought... and he thought...

And then he decided to get a magical castle where kids could bounce around all the day long and never get in trouble for jumping...

Then he let us fly threw his kingdom at lightening speed...

And feed the wild beasts (actually we just fed the ducks some old hotdog buns at the pond.... but use your imagination people)

and catch wild beasts too... (this is just us in our diapers playing a super fun "catch the butterflies" game that Mimi got us)

He even let us eat all the cake we wanted to and didn't make us use forks...

It was an awesome weekend! But the best part was this...
